Food Network Selects St.Louis BBQ Society to participate in new show

A new show for the Food Network called Food Feuds is set to make a stop in St. Louis, MO. The premise of the show is taking two restaurants that do a regional speciality and pit them head to head in a dual of who does it the best. The show will be hosted by Iron Chef Michael Symon and the episdoe will featuring Pappy's Smokehouse and 17th Street Bar and Grill in a rib competition. Be on the look out for dates and times and some of the members of the St. Louis BBQ Society who have been contacted about being a part of the show.

1st Annual Cars, Blues & Bar B-Q Festival
Sunday September 12, from 10am to 9pm
Beautiful Historic Downtown Alton, Illinois
What goes better together than Cars, Blues, and Barbecue? We can't think of anything! So join us for the 1st annual Carsbluesbbq Festival on Sunday, September 12 for a day of fun. There will be a barbecue competition, good music, and an awesome car & motorcycle show in beautiful downtown Alton, Illinois.
The Cars Blues & Bar B-Q Festival was conceived to celebrate Food, Fun, and Philanthropy. Partial proceeds from the event will go to the Alton Marketplace Association and other charities that were chosen by our organizing committee and key business partners earlier this year. Our sponsors make it all happen. While funds have been raised for charity, there are still considerable ongoing operating costs associated with putting on a world-class barbecue competition and the event complementing it.
Cars, Blues, and BBQ estimates attendance for this year’s event around 10,000 people. This is a family event.
